The points of this indicator permanently change their colour (from white to black) when the temperature indicated is reached. The label is designed to come in contact with water as it has to be placed inside the dishwasher during a washing cycle.  In this way, it is possible to assess whether the inside of the dishwasher has reached or not the temperatures necessary for sanitizing according to the principles of the HACCP.

Instructions for use of the TDI temperature indicator

You just have to stick the indicator to a clean and dry surface of any internal support of the dishwasher. It is even possible to stick it to a loose piece, preferably in metal.

At the end of the washing cycle we can verify whether the necessary temperatures have been reached or not by checking if the control points have changed their colour.  The label can be peeled off and enclosed to a quality report. In these cases, it is recommended to peel it off hot for greater ease.

This temperature indicator is supplied in packs of 25 and 50 labels, or in rolls of 1,000 units. In any case, the minimum quantity is always 1,000 units. Read our catalogue for more information on prices depending on the type of supply.

The TDI adhesive thermometer is available in just one temperature range with three control points:

65º 71º 82ºC

Supply:

  • Packs 25 units (mín. 40 packs)
  • Packs 50 units (mín. 20 packs)
  • Rolls 1.000 units

Minimum quantity: 1,000 labels

Size: 25 x 35 mm

Typo: Horizontal rectangular

Adhesive temperature label. It is laminated with a transparent polyester covering protecting it against water, grease and oils. The temperature points contain a material changing colour irreversibly when they reach the temperature indicated.

The temperature points are displayed in ºC and in ºF.

Its accuracy is +/- 1ºC

This label is manufactured in compliance with ISO 9001.

The components and materials of this temperature sensor comply with REACH Annex XVII regulation, with reference to their effects on the public health and environment.

Uses of the TDI temperature label

The acronym 'TDI' temperature indicator derives from the English language and means Thermal Disinfection Indicator.

This temperature sensor is commonly used by catering companies, canteens, restaurants, airlines, hospitals, schools and in the food industry in general.  It is used to control the sanitizing of cutlery, glasses, dishes and cooking utensils inside industrial dishwashers.

In the food industry, the need of hygiene and safety compliant to the HACCP  (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles are aimed at ensuring the absence of bacteria, virus or toxic particulates in the utensils coming in contact with food. This is essential to ensure their hygiene and avoid problems of public health.

Industrial dishwashers come with their own temperature sensors. Nevertheless, they not always detect the correct temperature due to their position or overuse. They sometimes measure the temperature of the water correctly, but without taking into account the heat loss occurring when the water gets in contact with the utensils on the tray.   In addition, the continued use causes the loss of accuracy.

To cope with such situations, it is common to use an indicator like the TDI temperature label as it gets in direct contact with the utensils to sanitize and detects the real temperature. Easy to use and low cost, this indicator is widespread in this sector.

In other fields like pharmaceutical, chemical industries and in the hospitality sector, the TDI indicator is also much used to control the sanitizing and sterilization of materials.
