This 13 level adhesive thermometer has been manufactured with LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). It is an ink changing colour depending on the temperature. Changing its colour into green, the thermometer shows the box with the temperature detected in that moment.

This indicator contains no batteries and no electronic components and for this reason it does not interfere with the device on which it is stuck. It is an easy and cheap solution for temperature control.

This indicator is available in different ranges, depending on the temperature points contained. Inside the foldable leaflet it is possible to select the range you may request:

  • Range 1: 0ºC - 12ºC (32 to 54ºF) (Temperature points ºC: 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12º)
  • Range 2: 12ºC - 24ºC (54 to 75ºF) (Temperature points ºC: 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24ºC)
  • Range 3: 24ºC - 36ºC (75 to 97ºF) (Temperature points ºC: 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36ºC)

Reversible temperature indicator made with LCD microencapsulated crystals (non-toxic mixture of liquid crystalline esters) on an adhesive base and covered with a thin polyester layer. The crystals vary their colour in every control point on the basis of the temperature.

The colour change follows three steps:

  • Blue: slightly below the marked temperature
  • Green: the indicated temperature
  • Brown / Red: slightly above the marked temperature

The prolonged exposure of these thermometers to sunlight or to UV radiation is not recommended. This temperature indicator is not designed to work immersed in water or other liquids. Nevertheless, other indicators of this range operating in water are available.

Accuracy: +/- 1ºC

Uses of the 13 level adhesive LCD thermometer

The main feature of this LCD thermometer is the presence of consecutive temperature points. In other words, there are no temperature jumps. For this reason, the use of this indicator is perfect in some fields where a precise temperature reading is necessary.

Moreover, being a thermometer with 13 control points recording consecutive temperatures, its measuring range is precise and wide.  Its extensive temperature range makes it an interesting indicator for many applications.

This temperature indicator works like a conventional thermometer and therefore it can be used in any sector.

This temperature label can be applied in pharmaceutical and chemical labs as well as in the food industry. Measuring the temperature of test pieces and flasks without inserting any element inside them is a very common. In these cases, a 13 level LCD thermometer can be stuck to a curved surface from the outside and makes a perfect reading of the container temperature.

It can be used in areas where it is necessary to control the temperature in different containers such as incubators or storage containers of some food or aquaria.  These adhesive thermometers can be stuck to the outer glass. This means that any fault in the temperature level of the containers can be detected at a glance.

This indicator can be used in many applications. In general, it is an easy and cheap solution in all contexts where visually  controlling the temperature level can be enough.
