WarmMark Time and Temperature (pack 100 units)

Irreversible time and temperature indicator by color change. This adhesive label alerts you to inappropriate temperature exposure by progressively changing the color of the control points. Each point is calibrated for a specific period of time, thus allowing control of the exposure time at that temperature.

These indicators are adhesive labels that control the time a product is exposed to a temperature higher than adequate. Its use is simple, just stick it on the product or its packaging and activate it by removing the upper tab and the protective film sheet.

Once activated, if the temperature is higher than that marked On the label, the control points change their color sequentially, thus indicating the exposure time at that temperature. Each point is regulated to carry out the complete color change, once the amount of time prescribed for each point has been accumulated. In this way, we can know the time of exposure to critical temperatures, seeing which points have changed and which have not. Some of the models have a single point, so they only measure a period of time.

The color change is irreversible and stops or resumes, depending on whether or not the marked temperature. In this way, it correctly records the time of exposure to temperature, even intermittently. The fact that the change is permanent allows a posteriori to see the level of compliance with the cold chain.

Change times are based on at a temperature 2 ° C (4 ° F) above the indicating threshold. If the temperature is greater than 2 ° C (4 ° F) above the device's activation temperature, the change may occur more quickly.

Resistant to water, detergent, alcohol, aliphatic hydrocarbons and some aromatics. It is not recommended for use in contact with active solvents such as ketones, esters and some chlorinated hydrocarbons.

Excellent stability to ultraviolet light and resistance to high temperatures

Acrylic adhesive that provides excellent adhesion to most smooth surfaces.

WarmMark time and temperature indicators are most effectively used when affixed directly to the product being monitored or when placed inside the container or the box. Indicators should not be placed directly on cooling gel packs, freezer plates or ice packs, etc., as this will result in measuring the temperature of the packaging material components rather than the product temperature. < br />
In exceptional cases, the temperature indicators are glued on an external packaging to monitor the temperature conditions of the chamber or container.
Reach compliant : This product complies with the EU REACH Regulation (CE) No 1907/2006

Uses of the WarmMark time and temperature indicator

WarmMark time and temperature control labels allow you to monitor the exposure time at inappropriate temperatures by changing color. This is especially necessary in perishable products and in those whose quality or function is affected by being exposed to overheating for certain periods.

The main applications of WarmMark are in the pharmaceutical and laboratory environment, for the control of the correct conservation of vaccines and medicines, and in the food sector, for the control of the cold chain of food and prepared dishes.

Temperature control in vaccines and medicines with time and temperature labels

Many of the vaccines and drugs on the market require cold storage to avoid deterioration. Problems in refrigeration, during transport or storage, or even due to carelessness, can affect the storage conditions of these drugs. The deterioration of a vaccine or medicine can make it ineffective, or even worse, harmful to the organism.

The use of time and temperature indicators guarantees that the product has been perfectly preserved and that it has not exceeded the allowed time, outside a refrigerated environment.

Preservation of Covid vaccines using time and temperature indicators

In the case of Covid vaccines, such as Pfizer, Moderna, Astra Zeneca and others, it is essential to comply with rigorous temperature conditions for their correct conservation.

During the different phases of its distribution, the best logistics operators have put their control methods in place, guaranteeing the preservation of the vaccine.

However, in the phase Finally, once the boxes have arrived at the vaccination center, it is difficult to monitor their correct conservation box by box. The boxes stored in refrigerators, not always in perfect condition, must also be taken out at room temperature, to prepare and administer the doses. It is here where the doubt can arise as to how long the vaccine has withstood an inappropriate temperature. These vaccines oscillate around 8 hours, in terms of the time they endure, before deteriorating.

It is at this point where a time and temperature label can guarantee the exposure time, avoiding that, when in doubt, doses should be discarded.

Compliance with the cold chain in food with time temperature labels

The cold chain of refrigerated, fresh and frozen foods is essential to guarantee their correct condition. Nowadays, with the emergence of prepared foods or precooked dishes, this need has become even greater.

A problem during transport, a failure in a cold room or an oversight in a box that is left out refrigerator for a while, are problems that occur regularly. In these cases, there is a doubt as to whether the problem has reached all the merchandise or only some of the boxes. In addition, merchandise that arrives in perfect condition of refrigeration, may have suffered problems during the journey without our being aware of it.

The time and temperature indicators can guarantee that the package in which they are placed does not it has broken its cold chain. Likewise, in the event of a problem, it allows us to evaluate the extent of the problem, and thus determine whether or not the food is suitable for consumption.

Other uses of WarmMark

In addition to the food and pharmaceutical sector, there are other products that require temperature control in storage or during transport. Sectors such as cosmetics, chemicals, industry and others, require a simple and inexpensive way to control the time of exposure to certain temperatures. WarmMark is a solution that adapts to all of this and that does not require a high investment.
