FCP Descending Temperature Indicator (pack 10 units)

The FCP descending temperature indicator is an adhesive label, which, through a color change, alerts us that the temperature has dropped below a critical value. The color change is permanent and irreversible, so it acts as a control signal, recording the event. Supplied in packs of 10 units.

The FCP label is an adhesive indicator for controlling temperature drops. Its operation is simple, just stick it to the product or box of products to be controlled and the indicator will change color from green to red in the event that the temperature falls below the set value.

The The indicator is irreversible, so once the change has been made, due to the drop below the critical temperature, it remains permanently red, warning of what happened. In this way, it is possible to subsequently check whether a product has been subjected to an undesired temperature, during transport or in storage.

FCP is a simple and economical method to control the drop in temperature during the chain of cold medicines, vaccines, food and other products, which in case of being exposed to freezing temperatures, or simply cold, can be damaged.

This product does not contain batteries or components harmful to environment. Its implementation is easy and can be monitored by unqualified personnel.

Available temperatures:
  • FCP -2ºC / 28ºF
  • FCP 0ºC / 32ºF
  • FCP 2ºC / 36ºF
  • FCP 15ºC / 59ºF
Supply: Packs of 10 units
Dimensions: 29 x 30 mm
Type: Square
Accuracy: +/- 1ºC (2ºF)

Irreversible type adhesive indicator. It does not require activation. It can stick on curved surfaces.
It contains a point in the middle of the label that changes from green to red when the temperature drops below the value of the indicator.
It does not contain batteries or toxic or harmful products for the environment.
Reach compliant: The FCP indicator complies with the REACH Regulation of the EU (EC) No 1907/2006

Rohs compliant: This indicator complies with the Directive 2011/65 / EU on the Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances, adopted in June 2011 by the European Union

Uses of the FCP temperature descending label

The FCP indicator is used primarily within the cold chain for the control and prevention of unwanted freezing processes or cooling of products.

The function of this label is to be able to have an effective control, which guarantees us that a product has not been refrozen, or has not been subjected to temperatures below the threshold it supports. It is especially useful in products such as vaccines, medicines or food products , which in case of being affected by low temperatures or freezing, can lose their qualities and even deteriorate completely. Also in the case of paints or some chemical components it is necessary to guarantee their temperature during transport or storage, to avoid deterioration.

Freezing control in vaccines and medicines

Most vaccines, and also some drugs, require specific temperature conditions during transport and storage in pharmacies, hospitals and medical centers. Among these requirements, is to prevent them from freezing, since by doing so, they could lose their properties or even become harmful to the body. It is therefore essential to ensure that they are not affected by such a drop in temperature at any time.

The FCP temperature drop label placed on the box of vaccines or medications will guarantee that in At no time has the drug been subjected to temperatures lower than permitted.

Descending temperature registration in fresh and prepared foods

Fresh foods such as vegetables or fruit, meat, fish and prepared or precooked foods require specific storage temperatures. Just as excess temperature can accelerate their deterioration, excess cold can cause freezing, deteriorating the product.

In the case of meat or fish, if they have previously gone through a process of freezing, it is not possible to freeze them again, without seriously damaging their organoleptic qualities. Fresh products such as fruits or vegetables cannot be stored below certain temperatures (mainly freezing), as this would damage their internal structure, leaving them unusable for consumption. Likewise, certain precooked dishes cannot be frozen, due to their components and the process of making them.

This problem about control of descending temperature in storage or During transport in feed, it can be easily controlled by an indicator like FCP. This label, in a simple way with its irreversible color change, will guarantee that these products have not undergone a freezing process or have not fallen below a certain temperature during their logistics and distribution.
